Is Cryptic free?
Every puzzle stays free. Membership takes the ads away and opens the archive. Occasional ads help keep every puzzle type free. Choose when they fit best between puzzles.
Where can you play Cryptic?
Cryptic is on Android through Google Play. You can also play it in your browser on this site.
Does Cryptic teach you how to solve?
Yes. Each variant has a short lesson, and the Technique Academy covers 25 techniques with a worked example and 5 practice boards each. Hints that show where to look and name the technique are free. Only the answer itself costs anything.
